Beta terms
Thank you for helping test GatherRelay. GatherRelay is run by Synergistic Solutions Unlimited LLC (“we”). These terms explain what the beta is, what we ask of you, and what you can expect from us. These terms apply when you accept them during account setup. We will ask you to accept material changes before applying them to your continued use. Please also read the privacy policy.
1. What the beta is
- GatherRelay is an early, invitation-only test. Features may change, pause or be removed, and things may go wrong.
- There is no charge for taking part in the beta.
- We may end the beta or your access. Keep your own copies of important papers. If you need a copy of information held here, contact support@gatherrelay.com; account-wide export is not ready.
2. Who can take part
- You must be 18 or older and live in the United States.
- You must have been invited, and you must be able to agree to these terms for yourself.
- You can only sign up for yourself. Signing up on behalf of someone else is not supported in the beta.
- GatherRelay is for your own and your family’s personal use. Do not use it to run a business or to keep records for patients or clients.
3. Not for emergencies, and not medical or legal advice
- GatherRelay has no emergency function. In an emergency, call 911.
- GatherRelay does not give medical, legal or financial advice. Records in GatherRelay are not checked by a doctor, nurse or lawyer.
- GatherRelay does not check that a paper is valid, current or legally binding, and does not check anyone’s identity, age, relationship or authority. Keep your original papers.
4. What you put in
- Your papers and records stay yours. You let us store, process and show them only to run the service for you and for the people you choose.
- Only upload information you have the right to keep and share.
- Only write family updates about someone if you are allowed to share that news, and choose who sees each one with care.
- During the beta, please follow the guidance you were given with your invitation, such as not uploading papers that show Social Security, bank account or card numbers.
- You decide who sees what. Once someone downloads or prints a copy, it is outside GatherRelay and cannot be taken back.
5. Keeping your account safe
- Use your own phone and your own passkey, authenticator app and recovery codes. Do not share them.
- Never tell anyone a sign-in code or recovery code. GatherRelay will never ask you for one.
- When you ask for a sign-in code, we text it to the number you typed. We do not charge for texts, but message and data rates from your phone company may apply.
- If you think someone else has got into your account, or you lose your phone, email support@gatherrelay.com straight away.
6. Please don’t
- try to get into anyone else’s account or information;
- upload anything harmful, such as a virus, or anything you are not allowed to share;
- use GatherRelay to harass or harm anyone;
- try to break, overload or get around GatherRelay’s security. If you find a security problem, please tell us at support@gatherrelay.com.
We may pause or end access that breaks these rules or puts other people at risk.
7. No promises during the beta
We work hard to keep GatherRelay safe and running, but during the beta it is provided “as is” and “as available.” It may be unavailable at times, and we cannot promise it will be free of mistakes or that information will never be lost. As far as the law allows, we do not make any other promises about it, including that it suits a particular purpose. Do not make GatherRelay the only place you keep an important paper.
8. Limit on what we owe
GatherRelay is free during the beta. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, such as lost time or lost opportunities, and the most we will owe you for any claim about the beta is one hundred US dollars. These limits do not restrict privacy rights, remedies or other rights that applicable law does not allow us to limit. They do not excuse intentional misconduct or gross negligence.
9. Your feedback
We welcome your ideas and reports. We may use them to improve GatherRelay without owing you anything for them. We will not share your name with them without asking.
10. Leaving the beta
You can stop using GatherRelay at any time. To turn off your account or ask for your information to be deleted, email support@gatherrelay.com. The privacy policy explains what happens next.
11. If we disagree
Please email us first; most problems can be sorted out that way. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana and of the United States. Any dispute that cannot be settled will be decided by the state or federal courts in Indiana, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it there. Nothing in these terms takes away rights that the law says cannot be given up.
12. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we will update this page and its date, and ask you to accept material changes in GatherRelay before they apply to your continued use.
